Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo were practically inseparable during the recently-held Star Magic Games at Celebrity Sports Plaza in Quezon City. But the Princess And I lead star was quick to say that they also spent some time with Julia Montes and their set of friends. “Nung nagbasketaball siya hindi ko napanood kasi ininterbyu din ako. So ngayon ko pa lang mapapanood. Manonood kami ngayon ng volleyball game tapos next na yung game nila,” said Kathryn when Push.com.ph caught up with them at the holding area for media and other guests.
Daniel mentioned that he joined the basketball team and hoped that he could impress Kathryn with his shooting skills. “Masaya po talaga [itong sports fest] kasi ito ang inaabangan ko this year. Sinalihan ko basketball lang po. Kinabahan ako [nung last few minutes nakahabol siya.] Kabado ako nung nandun siya. Gusto ko magpa-cool pero hindi gumana,” said Daniel about his failed three-point shot attempt upon seeing Kathryn among the audience. He then teased Kathryn about the games that she participated in, “Pinakamatindi sinalihan niya, patintero at saka dodge ball!”
Kathryn admitted that the Star Magic games gave them a chance to relax and just enjoy each other’s company. “Siyempre ibang-iba yung bonding namin dito compared dun sa kapag nasa taping kami ng Princess And I. Dito sa sports fest magchi-cheer kayo. Yung mga kaibigan mo makakasama mo. Kulitan lang. Siyempre kapag taping hindi ganon dahil most of the time naka-focus kayo sa paggawa ng eksena,” she said.
