As part of the cast of Skylight Film’s release Amorosa: The Revenge, Ejay Falcon admitted he is excited to showcase his talent in a different acting genre. “First horror ko ito. Sa ending pa talaga mari-reveal yung role ko. Actually ang hirap magsalita tungkol sa character ko kasi malalaman niyo yung story eh, mahuhulaan ninyo,” he admitted. The movie also stars Angel Aquino, Empress, Enrique Gil, Carlo Aquino, and Martin del Rosario and is a story about two women connected by parallel experiences.
Ejay said it was a different kind of experience to work with Empress in a movie after doing series like Guns and Roses and Mundo Man Ay Magunaw. The former PBB teen housemate said that he and his perennial leading lady have managed to become close friends and nothing more at the moment. “Masyado pang maaga para gawin namin yung ligawan. Kailangan talagang puspusan mas makilala ko siya. Kasi ayaw naming biglain. Hindi pa talaga puwede. Basta tingnan na lang natin kung darating tayo dun. Mabait naman siya, sobrang bait niya. Hindi ko lang talaga siguro madaliin yung sitwasyon,” he said.
Ejay said there is no truth that the reason why he is not courting Empress is because of her strict mother. “Hindi po. Nakakausap ko yun eh, minsan hinahatid ko pa sila sa bahay niya kaya hindi rin,” he said. The Mindoro-born heartthrob even admitted that he and Empress have the same group of friends with which they go out with at least twice a week. And even though he is not courting anybody else at the moment, Ejay said he is not hurrying into any kind of relationship this year. But he said he understands the reason why their fans like them as a couple. “Sabi niya may gusto siya sa akin eh, hindi joke (laughs). Lagi kasi kaming magkasama nun eh, ngayon naman nag-movie kami so nakikita siguro ng tao na parang bakit ganun,” he explained.
Aside from Amorosa: The Revenge, Ejay is also busy preparing to be part of a new action series which starts taping next month. This is also why he is showing off a fresh new look in the horror movie. “Dati hindi ako makapag-pagupit kasi meron akong ginagawang isang action movie, ito rin yung under Skylight sa ABS-CBN na bago. Wala pang title pero working title namin is Saka-Saka. Kasama rin dito si Joseph Marco, Baron Geisler, at si Mon Confiado. Tapos na shooting namin. Wala akong leading lady kasi puro lalake talaga siya eh. Tapos kasabay niya shoot ng Amorosa so nung nag-shoot ako dun, nag-shoot din ako para dito tapos nung nakita nila yung mga pictures ko, ayaw na nila pagupitan kasi gusto na nila sa bagong teleserye ko na ganun,” he said.
