Actress Jessy Mendiola said actor JM de Guzman has already apologized to her mother following his revelation on ABS-CBN talk show “KrisTV” weeks ago.
De Guzman admitted in an episode of “KrisTV” that he loves Mendiola and the actress feels the same way about him.
According to Mendiola, this caught her off guard because de Guzman did not even warn her that he’s going to say such thing.
“Nagulat nga ako so I texted him. ‘Huy, ano itong interview na ito? Ikaw. Lakas. ‘Di mo ako ininform about this.' Pero nagkausap na kami at nung Sunday nagbatian naman kami sa 'ASAP,'” she told Hot Pinoy Showbiz.
“Nag-sorry siya sa mom ko kasi nga hindi ako ready. Nag-sorry siya sa mom ko dahil dun sa pagsasalita niya sa TV,” Mendiola added.
The actress said she is still young and not yet ready to get into a serious relationship.
“Sa ngayon, mas mabuti kung isip muna [ang paiiralin ko] kasi ang bata ko pa. May oras para diyan. Kung bukas man o bukas makalawa, then go. But right now, I don’t know yet when I’ll be ready for love,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mendiola said she is really happy that her latest movie “The Reunion” is getting a lot of good feedback.
Mendiola also shared what she thought of her much talked about kissing scene with actor Enchong Dee in the movie.
“Sobrang ginulat niya ako dun. Kasi antok na ako. Hindi ko alam na ganon pala ka-torrid 'yung kissing scene. So nung nag-kiss kami, ‘Wow Enchong!’ Pero tawa lang kami ng tawa. Kasi after the first take, ginawa namin siya ng paulit-ulit [dahil part 'yun ng process sa paggawa ng pelikula]. I’ve known him for a long time so okay lang. I am very proud of our movie,” she said.
“The Reunion” is currently being shown in theaters nationwide.
