Singer Karylle has extended her gratitude to everyone in and outside show business who are praying for her mother Zsa Zsa Padilla.
It was reported on Sunday that Padilla was diagnosed with stage one cancer in the kidney.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Karylle said the overwhelming support for Padilla is where they draw their strength as a family.
“We are able to bear this also because of the goodwill of so many people so thank you. I want to to see the brigther side of things,” she said.
Karylle said she is hoping to be with her mom in the United States before her scheduled operation on August 27.
Meanwhile, actress Lorna Tolentino, who is Padilla’s cousin, said continuous prayers would definitely help the singer-actress.
“Malaking tulong ang dasal at matapang siya, kasi din maaring effect 'yan ng matagal niyang pagiging caregiver, tutoo yan,” she said.
More prayers is also Epy Quizon’s wish for Padilla, his father’s partner for 23 years.
“She is a fighter, she was there fighting for my father. I think kakayanin niya ito,” he said.
