As part of her preparation for her upcoming teleserye Isla, Jessy Mendiola revealed what she is currently busy with, “Pagpapa-sexy. Nagdyi-gym ako,” she said smiling.
In the project, Jessy’s leading man is Matteo Guidicelli and the show will also star Matt Evans and Jewel Mische. The said project will be her first team-up with Matteo and Jessy explained that she and her leading man try to get to know each other better for more onscreen chemistry. “Kasi pag may love scenes kayo (at) di naman kayo close, awkward (‘yun) kaya okay naman kami ni Matteo.”
On a personal note, Jessy already explained before that she is not yet ready to be in a commitment, altough JM de Guzman had publicly declared his love for her, which took Jessy by surprise because she didn’t expect JM’s admission on national TV a few weeks ago. “Okay lang na nagsalita siya, bilib ako sa kanya. Pinanindigan niya. He’s not like that, hindi siya nagsasalita. In short he’s very quiet pagdating sa interviews. And for him to do that, I think that’s very sweet. Lalo na ang mga lalaki ngayon, ma-pride,” said Jessy.
Initially, Jessy was vocal in saying that JM’s admission took her by surprise and would have preferred that the actor had given her a head’s up before his confession. But she said that they already talked about this and have sorted out their misunderstanding. “Bakit ako magagalit? Hats off ako sa kanya. Knowing him he’s not like that,” she clarified. Jessy also assured that she will not avoid JM because of what he did. “Hindi naman ako ang gano’ng klaseng tao na because of what happened, biglang mawawala. Ako naman I’ve been always been there to care for him.”
Jessy also clarified the issue that she has been seen a number of times going to JM’s condo unit. “Baliktad. Siya ‘yung pumupunta sa condo ko with my mom. Umaakyat siya ng ligaw sa mom ko. Siya ‘yung pumupunta sa amin, nagdadala ng chocolate, flowers. Pupunta siya ng condo tapos tinutugtugan niya ang nanay ko kasi ‘yung mommy ko mahilig sa music. ‘Yung guitar ng mom ko andun kinakalikot niya.”
