In a recent interview, Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo star Shaina Magdayao revealed that her afternoon teleserye has been extended for the second time, thanks to their loyal viewers. “Dapat matagal nang tapos (ang teleserye),” she explained. “The time na umuwi si Sarah (her character) mula sa Doha (Qatar), tapos na sana and then na-bless ang aming show, na-extend. And ngayon na-extend ulit.
For this, the actress is truly grateful to their show’s viewers who are responsible for making their show a success. “Sobrang nagpapasalamat kami dahil at least may happy Christmas ang aming crew, ang aming staff. Lahat kami may trabaho kaya grabe, lubos-lubos at galing sa aming mga puso ang aming pasasalamat,” Shaina said.
Though her career is now doing well, it is no secret that Shaina is currently loveless, after her quiet yet still controversial breakup with John Lloyd Cruz, who is now being linked to Angelica Panganiban.
In an official statement last May, Shaina explained that her breakup with John Lloyd was a mutual decision, although both parties never divulged details about their split.
While she is currently single, Shaina appeared not the least bitter. “We’re always grateful dahil lahat naman ito nangyayari for a reason,” she said positively. “I am blessed by God. Sobra lang talaga lahat ng nangyayri sa buhay. Hindi ako nawalan ng faith sa Panginoon at kahit ano pang nangyari before, I’m never bitter about life. And I always think things happen for a reason and (it is) His reason, so it must be His perfect plan.”
Another thing that the actress is thankful for is for her friends and family who support her in whatever challenges that she is going through in her life. “I’m glad that I have good friends around me. I have my family around me and andyan ‘yung mga fans ko na talaga namang sumusuporta at nagmamahal kay Sarah at kay Shaina,” she aired.
As to the possibility of falling in love soon, Shaina’s immediate reply, “Ayoko muna, teh. I’m very much enjoying, so ganun muna tayo.”
What her fans can expect from her though is that she will continue to deliver good performances in portraying her role in Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo.
“Sa lahat ng bagay na ginagawa ng artista siguro mas nakakagana kapag naa-appreciate ng mga tao, and definitely ‘yung response na natatanggap namin, ‘yung lahat ng appreciation nila, eh, definitely naa-appreciate din namin so the more kaming ginaganahan magtrabaho. And definitely I’m very thankful that we have a good director, good writers, ang aking leading man (Jake Cuenca) kawawa naman na ilang beses kong sinasampal at si Bangs (Garcia) na kawawa silang dalawa pero they’re also very passionate sa trabaho, kaya masarap umarte kasama nila.”
