Maja Salvador details shoe conflict with Kim Chiu in new series

Best gal pals Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador are bringing their close friendship to the TV screen via their latest primetime series.

In ABS-CBN's upcoming drama series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak," which also stars Xian Lim and Enchong Dee, Salvador and Chiu portray friends.

Salvador's comparison of their characters to shoes draws from a central theme in the upcoming soap.

Shoe conflict

During the series' press launch last May, Dee revealed that the principal characters are involved in the shoe industry, which will also be the source of the story’s conflict.

So simula palang, minsan may mga shots kami mula sa paa going up, so pagandahan ng sapatos,” he said at the time.

Just like in real life, Chiu and Salvador play "totally different" characters.

Aside from sharing experiences, the young actress hinted that they may also share leading men as the story unfolds.

Directed by Don Cuaresma and Jojo Saguin, "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" is expected for primetime airing later this year.
