Paul Salas defends Myrtle Sarrosa against detractors

Popularly known as Marlon in the hit fantaserye series Aryana and as Jonas on Toda Max, Paul Salas admits he enjoyed the downtime during the Star Magic Games held last July 29 at the Celebrity Sports Club in Quezon City. We spotted the teen star enjoying the joust area after his events. The young actor also shared that he and recent Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Big Winner Myrtle Sarrosa are becoming close friends after she guested on Toda Max. The Aryana actor admits it all started when Myrtle was interviewed on Bandila and she admitted who she admired in showbiz. “Nung sinabi ni Myrtle sa Bandila na crush niya ko, ginuest na din siya sa Toda Max so abangan nila yung love team namin dun (laughs),” he tells Hot Pinoy Showbiz.

Paul admits he found it flattering when he heard about what Myrtle admitted on national television even though he had never met her before. After meeting the popular teen housemate for the first time during taping, Paul says he couldn’t help but admire her.

Their friendship is going deeper as Paul shares they have already made plans to hang out even after her guesting on Toda Max. “Nag-aayaan kaming dalawa sa Eastwood next weekend. Mag-bo-bowling lang kami, ganun. Pareho kasi kami mahilig dun. Sabi kasi niya, ‘Uy parang ang saya pala makasama ikaw.’ Sabi ko, ‘Tara! Sige gusto mo mag-hang out tayo next week?’ he admits. Even though it’s going to be a group date with the rest of the friends, Paul says he looks forward at getting the chance to get to know Myrtle better and even plans to buy her some ice cream.

Even if Myrtle is three years older than him, the 14-year-old actor says he is not thinking about courting anyone at this stage in his life. But he also does not want to say that he will never consider courting her in the future. “Ewan ko (laughs). Hindi po, siyempre bata pa kami pero hindi mo alam, love is blind (laughs),” he adds. Paul even defends his new friend against her detractors. “Alam niyo si Myrtle sobra sobrang bait na babae yan at saka sobra siyang maka-God kaya wala akong bad comments sa kanya. Grabe, lagi niyang sinasabi sa akin sa text ng take care, God bless, so laging may God.”
