JM de Guzman may have been one of the bachelors who got the loudest screams from fans during a sexy fashion show, but the actor admitted that he was not able to prepare enough for his walk down the ramp. According to the actor, “Nahirapan ako kasi yung sched ko kasi puro out-of-town ang taping so hindi ako nakakapag-gym pero sinisigurado ko diet ko okay.” But when asked how it felt that everybody was cheering for him, he replied, “Masaya. First time ko kasi, first time kong rumampa sa stage. Una nakakatakot pero nung nandun na, yun na.”
The actor shyly smiled whenever he was asked how it feels to be part of the hottest and sexiest bachelors this year. “Hindi ako makapaniwala. Nung una nung nasa backstage ako, tanong ko bakit ako nandito pero siyempre nahiya lang ako pero happy at very honored na maging part nito.” And when asked who was his inspiration while doing the show, he replied, “Fans ko.”
JM was overweight before he entered showbiz, weighing 185 lbs and never thinking that he would one day take part in a sexy fashion show. “Never. Sobrang tagal ng years bago ako naging ganito.” He said he now wants to serve as an inspiration to others battling with their weight issues.
JM was surprised by how some of the girls in the audience were aggressive while he was walking down the runway. He admitted that he was a little shocked by the fan he randomly picked out from the audience who almost kissed him. “Nagulat, umarte-arte na lang ako. Nagulat talaga ako e.” But when one reporter said that he was a gentleman enough to handle it, “I guess [there’s nothing] for me to say but thank you.”
