Many viewers were delighted when John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo were reunited on the September 9 episode of Sarah G Live. They kept on bantering like two old friends and even teased each other about their respective love interests in real life. “Hindi ba significant sa ’yo mga relo? Ibinibigay ko ito bilang tanda ng oras. Ang oras lumilipas. Kung meron kang mahalagang bagay na maibibigay sa isang tao, yun ay oras,” said John Lloyd who was referring to Gerald Anderson’s gift to Sarah before their growing romance was suddenly cut short.
Sarah retaliated by mentioning Angelica Panganiban’s name and their much-talked-about “perfect Sunday” together. Sarah asked him, “Sino yung taong hindi pwedeng hindi mo makita or matext man lang? Ano yung favorite na araw mo? At paano nagiging perfect ang Sunday for you?” To which John Lloyd safely replied, “Sunday is my favorite kasi it’s the only day in the week na nakikita ko yung mga importanteng tao sa buhay ko. Sundays lang ako walang trabaho. So dun ko nakakapiling ang mga kapamilya ko.”
With the kind of rapport they showed in that episode, people are wondering when they’d finally start working on the third installment of A Very Special Love. But as much as John Lloyd wants to work with Sarah, he seemed wary of doing another movie soon after The Mistress. “Naka-shedule yung movie namin ni Sarah last quarter of the year until early next year. Ayoko muna isipin. I want to give myself a break muna. Alam ninyo namang meron din kaming teleserye ni Bea Alonzo (A Beautiful Affair).”
Nevertheless, John Lloyd was really happy that he got the chance to catch up with Sarah on her show. “Masayang masaya kami. Lumabas naman yun sa episode. Nag-enjoy lang kami. Dun lang kami nabigyan ng chance na magbalitaan sa isa’t isa at magkamustahan. Okay siya. Naging magandang experience para sa amin.”
