Thief with pamphlets tries to steal car of Nikki Valdez

A thief posing as a man who gives out pamphlets has attempted to steal the car of actress Nikki Valdez.

According to her driver, Lito, the thief was going around the actress' white Starex while it was parked in Greenhills on Thursday afternoon.

Lito said he immediately reported the incident to authorities.

Asked to describe the suspect, he said: "Medyo mababa ['yung lalaki] pormal ang bihis, naka-kulay dark green, tapos black pants."

Valdez, meanwhile, said she could not believe that someone would attempt to steal her automobile again.

Ano ba yon? Hindi ba? Wala naman kaming ginagawa para maka-attract ng ganoon," she said.

"Lagi tayong nakaka-encounter na naglalagay ng brochure sa kotse but this is the firt time ever na may nakita ang driver ko na ganoon at may na-encounter ako na ganoon," she added.

In 2009, thieves stole three bags of valuables from Valdez' Toyota Revo with plate number XSV 648 while it was parked in front of a restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Her vehicle's windows were also broken.
