Luis Manzano denied that his relationship with Jennylyn Mercado is on the rocks because of the malicious rumors linking her to the breakup of Paolo Contis and Lian Paz. He reiterated that the controversy has no basis at all. “Hindi, baka yung nagkakalat ng isyu ang nagkakalabuan sa dyowa nila. Kasi parang sa amin nilalagay yung problema nila e. So baka gumagawa ng issue sila ang namromroblema sa kani-kanilang buhay.”
The actor-host further expressed his disgust towards people who are speculating that he and Jennylyn are on the verge of a breakup as well. “It’s [ill-advised] na magkaroon ng ganong prediction. Some relationships are meant to last some are not, 50-50 lang ‘yan e. Parang ‘pag sinabing uulan, kung weather nga ang hirap ma-predict. So it’s either magtatagal kayo or hindi. Yun lang naman yun e.”
But despite the controversy, he maintained that all is well between him and Jennylyn. When asked about how much he loves and trusts her, he simply replied, “The fact na hindi kami nagpaapekto. Mas naapektuhan pa yung gumagawa ng issue, siguro nainis na hindi kami mabubuwag. Wala [kaming] kaproble-problema at all.”
