Carlo Aquino hopes to work with ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban again

During a set visit to Cinema One Originals' Mater Dolorosa, Carlo Aquino confirmed that he was back with ABS-CBN and that he was looking forward to doing a project with his home network. "Yes. kakabalik ko lang. Pero wala pa akong pinipirmahan na contract. Kaka-release ko lang sa Viva. Ang sarap ng feeling [na may trabaho ako ulit] kasi ang tagal kong 'di nakaarte ng maayos. Ito ang pagbabalik ko sa Cinema One, sa home network ko. Siguro sa tagal na walang ginagawa, walang trabaho. Napag-isip-isip ako na eto talaga ang gusto kong gawin e, ang umarte, yung ipamahagi sa tao yung ibinigay ng talento sa akin," he began.

Carlo said he is trying to lose a lot of weight for his role as a drug mule in the said indie film. He will not only work with acclaimed actresses like Gina Alajar, Alessandra de Rossi, and Rosanna Roces; but it will also reunite him with director Adolf Alix whom he previously worked with in Kahapon, May Dalawang Bata (1999). "Sobrang na-miss ko ang acting. Kinuha ako dito ni Direk Adolf. E si direk nakasama ko siya sa Kahapon, May Dalawang Bata. Writer pa lang siya nun. So sobrang at ease ako sa kanya."

Aside from Mater Dolorosa, Carlo also finished shooting Shake, Rattle, and Roll XIV which is slated to premiere during the Metro Manila Film Festival. He was tapped by director Chito Roño whom he believed has become less intimidating to date. "[Kilala siyang strikto] pero medyo light na si Direk Chito kumpara nung panahon na ginawa namin yung Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa? Nakikipagbiruan na siya ngayon. Tapos na kami magshoot. First time ko makasama sa prankisa ng Shake, Rattle, and Roll kaya feeling ko artista na ako," he cheerfully exclaimed.

Given a chance, he would also like to work again with ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban. "Oo naman. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na makatrabaho siya ulit. Hindi ko na nga maalala kung kailan huli naming proyekto. Tanging Ina pa ata Part 1 at Maalaala Mo Kaya."

When asked to comment on her newfound romance with Box Office King John Lloyd Cruz, Carlo said that he actually saw them together during the Star Magic Ball. "Basta masaya naman si Angel, masaya ako para sa kanya. Nagkita kami nung dumalo ako ng Star Magic Ball. Nakita ko sila Angel sa suite nila Pratty (John Prats) at Pooh."

As for his love life, Carlo admitted that he currently has a non-showbiz girlfriend. "Meron akong inspirasyon pero non-showbiz. Magaaan, hindi nagseselos basta alam niya kung anong ginagawa mo," he beamed.
