BB Gandanghari said he is willing to be interviewed by former wife Carmina Villaroel, who hosts a Saturday showbiz talk show in ABS-CBN.
“That’s a possibility,” he said in an interview with the press during the launch of TV5’s upcoming shows “Enchanted Garden,” “Artista Academy,” and “Third Eye.”
BB further explained: “ Ang pinakaiiwasan mo lang d’yan, sa tagal ng history namin, naingatan namin na wag saktan ang isa’t isa unnecessarily. So ngayon pa ba? If and when mangyayari yun, I want to make sure na okay kami, walang mapaglalaruan, walang bubuksan na lumang sugat.”
BB also revealed that he hasn’t seen Carmina since returning to the country earlier this year.
Happy for each other
“Siguro tiyempo lang yan,” he said. “Hindi pinaplano yun, e. Kasi habang pinaplano mo, nakakanerbiyos.”
But while he and Carmina have not seen each other in a while, BB said they’re happy for each other.
“Noong nakita ko siyang masaya, masaya ako for her kasi I’m happy and ganoon din yung pakiramdam niya sa akin,” he shared.
BB added: “Napaka-selfish mo namang tao kung happy ka at ang hanggad mo sa nakapaligid sa iyo e hindi maging happy. When you’re happy, you wish other people to be happy also.”
‘Mahal ako ng mga kapatid ko'
He also wants to talk to his brother Robin Padilla to iron out their recent differences. BB said he’s willing to make the first move so he can talk to his brother.
“Hindi na naman issue kung sino ang mage-effort. Walang problema maski ako ang gumawa ng paraan para makapag-usap kami,” BB said.
“Hindi naman sa isyu, pero affected ka in a way na siyempre, bilang magkakapatid, gusto mo na okay kayo. Gusto mong walang samaan ng loob. Parang ganyan ba—nagkakaintindihan kayo, tanggap ka. Yun lang naman. Pero alam ko naman naiintindihan ako e, it’s just a matter of time.”
BB added he’s sure his brothers love and understand him and “it’s just a matter of time” before they reconcile.
Rustom’s 'return'
BB said he still plans to return to America (where he was based for a few years) once in a while. But for now, he will star in the Kapatid network’s upcoming primetime soap opera “Enchanted Garden.”
“First time ko ulit umarte after three years. Tapos nung ginawa ko yung ‘Untold Stories’ (TV5’s drama anthology show), parang, ‘wow, ang sarap umarte.’ Tapos inoffer nila sa akin ito. So far so good,” he said. “Naeexcite ako every time na may taping.”
In “Enchanted Garden,” BB will play a male and female character.
“Ipe-peg ko lang si Rustom (Padilla) one more time,” he said.
Is he “resurrecting” Rustom, so to speak? BB said this isn’t the case.
“Gagawin kong peg. But it will BB portraying a male character,” he explained. “Pag naconfuse ko ang tao, ibig sabihin magaling akong aktor.”
“Enchanted Garden” which also stars Alex Gonzaga, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Alice Dixson, will premiere July 30 at 6:30pm on TV5.
