While they have not yet confirmed their relationship, Jodi said in a recent episode of The Buzz that Jolo is someone very special to her and recent photos circulated on the Internet show the two with Jodi’s son, Thirdy, at Hong Kong Disneyland. Asked if Lovi still has communications with Jolo, Lovi immediately answered, “No, no, no. ‘Yun ang todong matagal na [isyu].”
While Lovi remains single, her name continues to be linked to Jake Cuenca, with the actor having suggested on several past interviews how much he admires Lovi. Just recently, the actor even appeared to be trying to get Lovi’s attention on Twitter, which heightened suspicion that Jake is still smitten with Lovi.
The two are slated to make another movie together. “Hindi pa nagsa-start. Jake is very busy with two soaps,” explained Lovi at the recent press conference of her upcoming movie with Dingdong Dantes Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles opening on October 17. Jake is now doing two TV dramas, Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo and Kahit Puso’y Masugatan.
When told that their next project might revive the issue that they have a romantic relationship, Lovi downplayed this and added that this has yet to be seen. When asked about their relationship, Lovi replied casually, “We’re good, we’re really good.”
She continued that they don’t go out on dates because they are both busy with their respective work. “Kahit ako parang there’s no more time. Mas gusto ko pa na sarili ko ang intindihin ko kasi di mo na masisiksik sa schedule,” she explained.
When a reporter said that Jake seemed to be really attracted to her, Lovi attempted to downplay this by answering, “He’s a genuinely sweet guy. So I really appreciate it a lot.” She added that she is not yet ready to be in a relationship because managing her schedule at the moment is really a struggle because of showbiz commitments.
