Actor-host Luis Manzano and his girlfriend actress Jennylyn Mercado will be going abroad to celebrate their first anniversary.
"Very, very soon we will be taking a trip out of the country to celebrate our first anniversary," said Manzano, who refused to give the exact date of their anniversary.
Guesting on "KrisTV" on Thursday, Manzano said they will be going to Dubai.
"Ang dami ko kasing pwedeng gawin sa Dubai -- magska-skydive ako, magda-dive ako sa aquarium nila sa mall nila, at may Ferrari World, napakarami," the actor told the show's host Kris Aquino, who seemed surprised by their choice of destination.
Manzano added that he has never been to Dubai.
"Alam niya hindi pa ako nakakapunta ng Dubai. It's a parang mini-gift din sa akin kasi anywhere in the Middle East, wala pa akong napuntahan," he said.
Manzano said their trip to Dubai will be their first trip outside the country with just the two of them. He added that they have traveled to several places around the country and they have also been to Hong Kong with their friends.
Asked what makes his relationship with Mercado work, Manzano replied: "Siguro same wavelength kami. Kung may isang bagay na medyo nagkaiba sa wavelength, tina-try namin kahit paano to find a compromise between a topic, between ugali namin. So, siguro we putting in effort to make it work talaga," he told Aquino.
The actor also revealed that Mercado has formed a special bond with his mother, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, on her own.
The "This Guy's in Love with You Mare" star said his Mercado and Santos regularly text and talk to each other and that his girlfriend also gives cupcakes to the veteran actress.
