Cristine Reyes na mag-comment tungkol sa kasong isinampa ng kanyang ate na si Ara Mina laban sa kanya noong nakaraang Miyerkules sa Quezon City Trial Court.

Na-interview ng TV Patrol si Cristine noong Lunes, April 23, sa Boracay thru Ginger Conejero. Sa ulat ni Ginger, biglaan daw ang naging bakasyon ni Cristine sa Boracay kasama ang malalapit na kaibigan. Ayon kay Cristine, “Basta have fun lang, what they say you only live once, live life to the fullest.”

Isa ring nilinaw ni Cristine ang tungkol sa isyung diumano’y may problema ang relasyon nila ni Rayver Cruz. Tinawanan niya ang isyung ito at ayon pa sa kanya, “Super okay kami ni Ray, andaming nagtatanong kasi wala siya rito. Eh kasi, trip namin ‘to ng friends  ko.”

Miss na raw niya ang boyfriend na nasa Star Magic tour pa sa U.S. Nasasabik na raw siyang makita ito dahil may mga regalo raw ito sa kanya. Aniya, “Mga belts, at tsaka ‘yung mga food, ‘yung mga trail mix, ‘yung mga ganu’n, ganu’n.”

Sa kabilang banda, masayang-masaya naman si Cristine sa nalalapit na paggawad sa kanya katuwang si Anne Curtis ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation ng Box-Office Queen para sa No Other Woman. Pagmamalaki niya, “So far, ‘yun ‘yung biggest achievement ko this year so I’m very, very thankful kay God.”.

Cristine Reyes, Nakilala ng Husto si Piolo Pascual

PATOK ANG tambalang Piolo Pascual at Cristine Reyes sa mga manonood kaya marami ang sumusubaybay sa kanilang “forbidden” love story sa primetime teleserye na Dahil sa Pag-Ibig. In the series, Piolo plays Father Alfredo Valderama (Osorio), the adoptive son of Leo and Cindy, who fell in love with their only daughter Jasmin (Cristine).

Their bittersweet romance reminds me of The Thorn Birds, a 1977 best-selling novel by Colleen McCullough, which was adapted as a television mini-series starring Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward in 1983.  Sa kuwentong ito, ang guwapong Irish Catholic priest na si Father Ralph de Bricassart ay ang object of desire and affection ng lead character na si Meghann “Meggie” Cleary.

Ayon sa artikulo ni Bernie Franco sa Push.com.ph, naging close sina Piolo at Cristine dahil sa kanilang top-rating series kaya pangarap ni Cristine na si Piolo naman ang kanyang maging leading man sa susunod niyang pelikula.

She only has good words about him. “Gusto ko siya kasi parang ang sweet niya. Kunwari wala naman sa eksena tapos kakausapin niya ako. Basta minsan parang kikiligin ka sa kanya ‘pag may ibang ginagawa na hindi siguro niya alam na nakaka-kilig.”

Dahil sa kanilang teleserye ay nagkaroon si Cristine ng pagkakataon na makilala nang husto kung sino talaga si Piolo. “Nakilala ko lang siya ngayon and doon ko na-discover [na] iyon pala iyong Piolo na nakikita ng ibang tao, kasi ngayon ko lang siya nakatrabaho.”

Umaarangkada ngayon ang showbiz career ni Cristine. Tumabo sa takilya ang kanyang pelikulang No Other Woman with Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay noong isang taon. “Nagkaroon ako ng dream na sana magkaroon ng movie pero hindi ko na-imagine in my wildest dreams na magkaroon ng blockbuster movie, so it’s a blessing for me. Hindi ko na-imagine na aabot ako sa ganito kasi ambisyon lang siya until nagtuluy-tuloy na, so thankful na ako.”

Cristine was recently hailed as one of the Box-Office Queens (together with Anne) at the 43rd Box-Office Entertainment Awards of the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF).

Cristine Reyes said that her two leading men in the teleserye Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig, Piolo Pascual and Jericho Rosales, are opposites of each other. While Piolo is reserved, she said the Echo is the more hyper one.

“Si Echo super 100 percent kulit, as in. Para siyang battery, hindi siya nauubusan. Para siyang fully-charged palagi. Hyper ‘yon kahit ‘di naman work. Si Piolo hindi siya ‘yung malikot katulad ni Echo. Si Piolo ‘yung steady lang pero nakikipag-usap, nakikipagbiruan. Nakakakilig siya minsan, naiinis ako. ‘Yun lang.” It is her first time to work with Piolo, while she worked with Jericho before on the teleserye Kahit Isang Saglit (2008).

Cristine continued that she finally got to know Piolo as a person, whom she would run into sometimes on ASAP. When they are on the set of Dahil sa Pag-Ibig, the actress related that Piolo tries to initiate a conversation. “Minsan nagkukuwento siya about something. Minsan nagkukuwento siya kunwari tinatanong n’ya ako; ano raw balak ko after 10 years. Tapos siya rin nagkukuwento, gusto rin daw niya [mag-]settle down. Nakilala ko talaga siya rito.”

She also shared that she could not help but feel shy with Piolo’s nice gestures toward her. “Eh kasi alam mo ako gusto ko ng someone na parang Piolo; manly, andami mong matututunan sa kanya, and God-fearing. Parang feeling ko kung nakatrabaho ko siya noon pa, siya na siguro, ‘di ba? Parang nasa kanya na lahat.”

With Piolo’s gorgeous looks and impressive character, Cristine said that she sometimes wonders if the actor is for real. “Parang gusto ko siyang alugin [at sabihin], ‘totoo ka ba na tao?’ Pero siya hindi ko nasasabi sa kanya ito nang harap-harapan. ‘Pag andyan siya tahimik lang ako, ‘pag andyan siya as in ‘di ako makabasag-pinggan kasi nahihiya ako sa kanya eh. Nahihiya nga akong kausapin siya, ewan ko, parang there’s something about him na medyo nakikimi ako.”

Meanwhile, Cristine related that she and boyfriend Rayver Cruz are doing good. However, they are spending less time together these days because she is busy with taping for her current teleserye. “’Yun ‘yung mga bagay na kailangan nating isakripisyo para sa work,” she explained. Last Valentine’s Day, Rayver made the occasion more special when he visited Cristine on the set of Dahil sa Pag-Ibig.

Cristine Reyes, May Pagka-Moody ang Style

By now, her multitude of fans of all genders know that there is more to the actress's milky and flawless skin, bedimpled cheek, striking eyes, and fearless expression.

Her feisty role as Charmaine in 2011's box office hit No Other Woman has made her even more popular. 

But off camera, Cristine appears to be more toned-down and mellow these days.

She admits doing less daring pictorials, and says it has nothing to do with the close-to-perfect relationship she has with real-life boyfriend Rayver Cruz.

"No," she says with much certainty in her voice. "[It's] my personal choice.

"Kasi siguro dati wala akong ginawa kung 'di mag-pictorial nang mag-pictorial, mag-pose nang mag-pose nang sexy.

"So, for a change naman, 'di ba? At least 'di ba nakita na yung other side [ko]... [Ngayon] hindi naman puro sexy... Kasi lagi na lang puro sexy, 'di ba?"

At her photo shoot with Mags— a trendy and youthful clothing line that takes pride and pleasure in having Cristine as their model— the 23-year-old actress looked very pretty sans bared shoulders and thighs.

She says the pieces from Mags cater to her taste— "merong sweet, merong pang-formal, merong casual, andun na lahat!"

But if she were to describe her style, she's unpredictable and varied.

"Ako talaga, yung style ko, may pagka-moody. Minsan conservative, minsan revealing, minsan naman sweet. So, [it's] very me."

She mentions her love for shoes...any shoes!

The younger sister of Ara Mina resumes, "A, walang particular brand. Basta makita ko na bagay or kaya maganda or unique, binibili ko...

"Meron akong branded, meron akong cheap, so, iba-iba."
