Eugene Domingo reveals that there are already plans to do Kimmy Dora 3

The Kimmy Dora and The Temple of Kiyeme star admits she plans to go Czechoslovakia for a much-needed rest.

Eugene Domingo said she is very thankful for the success of Kimmy Dora and The Temple of Kiyeme which has already hit the P100 million mark. “Basta nagpapasalamat kaming lahat na pinagkatiwalaan kami at saka yun talaga yung vinisualize namin na maraming marami, mas doble triple yung pumasok sa Kimmy Dora 2. Thank you very much. We’re still very much showing. Kahit dumating si Spider-man hindi kami susuko (laughs). Totoo!” she joked.

Eugene said the entire cast and crew of the film were praying for the movie to do well at the tills. I have stopped praying for myself and I just pray for them. Kasi hindi natin dapat kalimutan yung mga nauna sa atin at kung sino talaga yung nangangailangan ng upliftment,” she explained during the Kimmy Dora 2 thanksgiving party held last June 25 at the Cerchio restaurant in Quezon City.

Eugene said because of the positive reception of the Kimmy Dora film franchise, Spring Films will definitely come out with a third movie. Ganun yun eh, dapat one, two, three.

After doing promotions for Kimmy Dora 2, the talented comedienne admitted she is already excited to head to Czechoslovakia to attend the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. “This is to represent Ang Babae sa Septic Tank kasi meron tayong screening doon so pupunta ako doon. Excited naman ako kasi after nga nitong aming tinatawag na success ay makakapag-relax ako at saka at the same time, yun may katuturan naman yung pagpunta ko sa Czechoslovakia tapos pagbalik ko magtratrabaho na ulit ako,” she said.

Eugene also shared that she will use the bonus she will get from Kimmy Dora 2 as her pocket money for her trip. Gusto ko mag-produce balang araw,” she added.

Eugene also said that she also wants to do a movie with Kimmy Dora’s executive producer Piolo Pascual someday. Kasi we’re very inspired and I believe yung Spring films talagang open sila sa mga fresh ideas, puwede sila makipag-collaborate. Abangan ninyo,” she said. When asked if there was any limit to how far she was willing to go in terms of the Go Dong Hae sister storyline, Eugene says, “Ako naman kahit Anong ipagawa nila sa akin kasi siyempre taling-tali na ako dito (laughs).”

Eugene was also happy to have been recognized recently as one of 15 outstanding women who embody what it means to be a true Filipina in the Pinay and Proud exhibit which also honors other personalities like Cheche Lazaro, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, and Akiko Thomson-Guevara, among others. “Na-recognize ako dun sa event nila sa Rockwell eh, I’m one of the 15 Pinays so natutuwa naman ako dun.
