Dawn Zulueta Shares Her Fashion Principles

Actress Dawn Zulueta puts a premium on comfort and function when it comes to her fashion philosophy.

In a behind-the-scenes footage of her photo shoot for Preview magazine's Best Dressed issue, the Kapamilya actress described her personal style as "relaxed, cool, and uncomplicated."
Being wife to Davao Del Norte Rep. Anton Lagdameo and mother to Jacobo and Ayisha, Dawn takes into consideration her activities for the day when it comes to putting together an outfit.
"If I'm with my kids, I just want to wear something relaxed, [to] still look good but not be complicated. It's difficult when you're chasing after a toddler. And of course when you go out, you consider the weather, where the party is gonna be, because I want to be very comfortable. I think that's number one when it comes to how to look elegant. You should always look easy, you should always look like it's uncomplicated," she related.
Even her clothes, bags, and shoes in the closet are arranged according to function. "Like all the heels on one side, all the flats on one side, and all the sandals on one...," she said.
Asked which items she loves to collect, Dawn cited bags and shoes, for their ability to "just change an outfit, either dress it up or dress it down."
In the magazine cover, Dawn is seen wearing a sleek, black cutout dress by Boom Sason. The style team consisted of Lala Flores (makeup) and Janet Dela Rama (hair), while Doc Marlon Pecjo took her photos.
Although the 43-year-old "Walang Hanggan" actress keeps a hectic schedule these days, she prioritizes her family.
She is thankful that her husband and children understand "the grueling hours" of her work.
"Kami naman kasi ni Anton we always, as much as possible, discuss our work calendar. I make it a point also na hindi naman araw-araw ay trabaho. I make a point na nasasamahan ko rin naman silang pamilya," Dawn told "The Buzz" on July 1.
