Kris Aquino honored Jillian Robredo wants to be like her

Host and actress Kris Aquino said she feels humbled that the youngest daughter of the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo wants to be like her someday.

In her official Twitter account, Aquino replied to one of her followers who asked if she could console Jillian Robredo, who has expressed her desire to follow Aquino’s footsteps.

Aquino said just like Jillian, she also lost her dad Ninoy Aquino at a very young age.

“My sister Viel just text me what Tricia Robredo said in her speech. I am HUMBLED by the honor of Jillian wanting to be like me when she grows up because like me she lost her Dad at 12 years old,” she said.

Aquino also promised that she and her sons will consistently reach out to the bereaved Robredo family.

In a speech before NagaeƱos on Sunday, Robredo’s second daughter Tricia said Jillian really wants to be an actress.

When they found out about their father’s death, Tricia said Jillian asked their mom how old Aquino was when she lost her dad.

"Si Jillian gustong mag-artista. Pagkatapos namin malaman na patay na si papa, ang sabi niya kay mama, 'Ma, ilang taon si Kris nang mamatay si Ninoy?' Baka raw puwede siyang maging Kris Aquino paglaki niya," she said.

Despite Robredo’s death, Tricia said her family finds strength in the outpour of love and support for their father.
