Angelica Panganiban, who received a Mini Cooper from then boyfriend Derek Ramsay three years ago, reportedly received another expensive car, this time from her rumored latest squeeze, John Lloyd Cruz.
Last week, Panganiban posted on her Instagram account a photo of herself inside a car, which Internet users confirmed as a Mercedes Benz SLK.
The luxury car reportedly costs P5.1 million.
“Namutla na… Kakahintay kay madam ayen.. #grocery walang magawa.. Driving around.. #ganapKahapon,” the actress wrote.
Panganiban’s Instagram followers were quick to speculate that it was Cruz who gave her the car. Entertainment website Pep.ph, citing a source, confirmed that it was indeed a gift from the actor.
It said that Cruz ordered the Mercedes Benz months ago from the brand’s showroom in EDSA and paid for it in cash.
Citing another source, Pep.ph said Cruz requested to have the luxury car delivered to his home before bringing it to Panganiban’s house.
“Si John Lloyd din daw mismo ang nag-inspect sa kotse at naglagay ng bulaklak at chocolates,” the website said.
The two stars have yet to make a statement about the issue.
Panganiban and Cruz were spotted holding hands while leaving the sixth Star Magic Ball at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel last Saturday.
While the two arrived separately at the red carpet event, they were seen leaving the hotel together.
In 2009, Ramsay gave Panganiban a Mini Cooper, which the actress named “Baby James Cooper,” for their third anniversary as a couple.
Ramsay confirmed his breakup with Panganiban last May.
